Business Growth Support Services

Assisting Success Ltd (ASL) are a UK consultancy who specialise in providing engineering and project support services in the Utilities, Rail, Infrastructure and Renewables sectors.

 

​Since October 2024, EcoTech Evolution have provided fractional business development and account management services to support ASL in increasing their penetration of the  electric vehicle charging infrastructure market.

Strategic Bid Support 

The Built Environment-Sustainable Transformation Centre (BE-ST) is a UK Innovation Centre that provides a launchpad towards a zero carbon built environment. 

​

From May 2024 to February 2025,, EcoTech Evolution were hired to provide bid management and bid writing expertise to support their response to an invitation to tender from Mid-East Antrim Council who were seeking an operator for a new CleanTech Innovation Centre to be constructed in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

R&D Knowledge Transfer Acceleration 

The Research & Innovation department at the University of Aberdeen have responsibility for facilitating collaborative research & innovation projects between researchers and businesses.

EcoTech Evolution were commissioned in April 2024 to undetake a 3 month research project that focused on developing a pipeline of new Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) opportunities based on virtual and in-person interviews with researchers & businesses working in the fields of Engineering, AI, & Data Science.

Product R&D Acceleration 

Vahonomy are a UK developer of EV charging infrastructure software solutions including SCOTIA, an AI based tool that enables charge point operators,  investors, and property owners to rapidly and accurately qualify locations that are most suitable for installing new charging infrastructure.

In 2022, we helped Vahanomy to accelerate the development of their SCOTIA tool. We did so by supporting them to apply for and secure funding from Scottish Enterprise to undertake a technical feasibility study with support from researchers at Heriot Watt Univerisity that we introduced to Vahonomy.

Product R&D Acceleration

Evolve Metals is building the UK’s only copper refinery. Their innovative closed-loop technology aims to set new industry standards for the sustainable production of copper worldwide.

During 2022 and 2023, we worked with the founder of Evolve Metals to develop a product R&D acceleration strategy that enabled the business to secure vital grant funding to continue the research collaboration that they'd established with Strathclyde University.   

Product R&D Acceleration

Green Flow Energy are a UK developer of a renewable energy harvester device that captures wasted kinetic energy from the airflow generated by electric vehicles and returns it to the drivetrain, extending the range of the vehicle. 

​

In 2023, we helped the founder of Green Flow to apply for and secure R&D funding to complete a 6 month technical feasibility study with support from researchers at Glasgow Caledonian University. With project management support also provided by EcoTech Evolution, the study successfully evidenced the potential of the technology to extend the range of electric buses & coaches.

Bumbleebee EV

Product R&D Acceleration

Bumblebee EV is one of the UK’s largest network of residential & commercial electric vehicle charge point installers.

​​

In 2021 we were approached by the leadership team who needed support in accelerating the development of their innovative modular multi-socket home chargepoint that enables several EVs to be charged simultaneously. Using our knowledge of the CleanTech R&D ecosystem,  we helped Bumbleebee to secure the funding and academic research expertise needed to complete a 4 month technical feasibility study focused on the software development components of the product.
